Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to drive revenue growth across our sports, stadium, and live events portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing sponsorships, selling event space, hospitality packages, advertising opportunities, and building long-term partnerships with corporate clients and brands.
You will play a key role in connecting brands with high-impact sporting and entertainment experiences, ensuring maximum commercial value for both clients and the business.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within corporate, agency, and brand sectors
Sell sponsorship packages, advertising inventory, hospitality suites, and event experiences
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
Client Relationship Management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, sponsors, and partners
Understand client objectives and tailor solutions to meet their marketing and branding needs
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business
Event & Stadium Sales
Promote and sell stadium usage (corporate events, concerts, private functions, conferences)
Collaborate with event organizers to maximise revenue opportunities
Assist with event activations and on-site client engagement when required
Market Insights & Strategy
Stay informed on industry trends in sports marketing, sponsorship, and events
Monitor competitor activities and identify new revenue streams
Provide insights and reporting on sales performance and market opportunities
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with marketing, operations, and event management teams
Contribute to campaign planning and execution
Ensure seamless delivery of client commitments
Key Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field
3-5+ years of sales experience, preferably in sports, events, media, or hospitality
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Skills & Competencies
Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
Commercially minded with strong business acumen
Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
Industry Knowledge
Understanding of the sports, events, or entertainment landscape in South Africa
Knowledge of sponsorship sales and brand partnerships is highly advantageous
Other Requirements
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during events
Valid driver's license and reliable transport
