Job Summary:

The Sales & Marketing Specialist Automotive Spare Parts will be responsible for driving sales, setting up the spare parts sales department, and leading marketing efforts for a new line of premium automotive spare parts. This role blends strategy and execution ideal for a self-starter who thrives in developing markets and understands the automotive parts ecosystem in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities:

Department Development


Support the setup and structuring of a dedicated sales department for the spare parts product line.
Define sales workflows, client engagement processes, KPIs, and reporting tools.
Assist in recruiting and onboarding future sales team members as the department grows.


Market Research & Analysis


Conduct thorough market research specific to automotive spare parts, identifying demand gaps, target customers (dealers, garages, distributors), and competitor offerings.
Analyze customer needs in the premium spare parts segment (e.g., German, Japanese vehicles).
Deliver data-driven insights to guide pricing, packaging, and distribution models.


Sales & Marketing Strategy


Develop and execute strategies to penetrate the premium spare parts market in Nairobi and beyond.
Craft persuasive value propositions and product presentations for target customer segments.
Collaborate with management on branding, promotions, and campaigns tailored to this product line.


Client Identification & Engagement


Proactively identify and reach out to garages, auto dealers, fleet owners, and B2B clients in need of premium-quality spare parts.
Build strong relationships with existing clients and introduce them to the premium line.
Attend industry trade shows, networking events, or auto expos to promote the brand and generate leads.


Advisory Role to Management


Provide regular feedback on sales performance, client feedback, and competitor activity in the spare parts sector.
Recommend updates on product offerings, pricing, and client retention strategies.
Contribute to strategic decision-making regarding market entry and expansion.


Requirements & Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of relevant experience in automotive spare parts sales, B2B marketing, or similar sectors (FMCG/industrial components).
Proven track record in launching or growing a product line, especially in a competitive industry.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
Deep knowledge of the automotive spare parts ecosystem (including brands, local supply chains, and consumer buying behavior).
Analytical thinker with strong market research capabilities.
Self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
