Qualifications, Skills and Experience


Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 10 years total experience, including 4-5 years in a similar sales-operations or distribution leadership role within bakery, FMCG, beverages, cold-chain, or QSR distribution
Proven experience managing large field distribution teams (approx. 100 personnel)
Strong leadership capability with the ability to drive discipline, motivation, and accountability
Proficient in route planning tools, GPS/telematics systems, Excel, and BI dashboards
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills


Key Responsibilities


Plan and optimize daily/weekly delivery routes to maximize coverage, freshness, and on-time performance
Monitor/manage field KPIs including on-time delivery, route adherence, stock reconciliation, and returns
Dynamically re-route teams based on demand shifts, traffic, vehicle issues, or stock availability
Troubleshoot field challenges including breakdowns, customer escalations, route conflicts, and stock variances
Coordinate with production, warehousing, and distribution to align loading schedules and dispatch plans
Implement and improve route optimization systems, GPS/telematics tracking, and reporting dashboards
Lead, mentor, and performance-manage route supervisors and team leaders; conduct regular field audits
Ensure strict safety, hygiene, and food-safety (FSSC/ISO) compliance during deliveries
