Job Purpose ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ
To ensure compliance with plant and equipment hygiene standards through routine sanitation inspections, monitoring of cleaning activities, and adherence to food safety and sanitation requirements.
The Job
Conduct routine hygiene and sanitation inspections to ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and company standards, and monitor, report, and follow up on hygiene and GMP non-conformances and corrective actions
Inspect delivery trucks, bulk tankers, and storage areas to verify cleanliness and food safety compliance, and validate the cleaning and sanitation of milling, packing, and related equipment before production
Conduct pre-operational hygiene checks on production areas and equipment, and monitor personnel hygiene, housekeeping, waste management, and sanitation practices across the facility
Maintain sanitation records, inspection reports, and other required documentation, and promptly escalate sanitation, food safety, and pest-related concerns to the Quality Assurance leadership
Perform any other Quality Assurance, sanitation, or food safety duties assigned by management.
Identify and report hygiene deficiencies, contamination risks and GMP violations.
Qualification
Minimum of 5 credits including Mathematics and English in O'Levels (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB) in Science Discipline.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years' cognate experience in manufacturing, food processing, or flour milling operations.
The Person Must:
Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
Possess strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene management systems.
Demonstrate practical experience in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and sanitation operations.
Be able to work under minimal supervision.
