Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA EAM & Asset Accounting Functional Specialist to provide hands-on configuration, functional support, testing and process improvement across Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Plant Maintenance (PM) and Asset Accounting (FI-AA).
The role covers the full fixed asset lifecycle, including technical asset structures, maintenance orders, capitalisation, depreciation, settlement, transfers and retirements. Strong integration knowledge across EAM, FI-AA, FI-GL, CO, MM and WBS/CWIP is required.


Key Responsibilities


Perform hands-on SAP S/4HANA configuration, support, testing and BAU activities across EAM/PM and FI-AA.
Configure and maintain Functional Locations, Equipment, Asset Classes, Depreciation Areas, Maintenance Orders and Asset Master Records.
Support the full asset lifecycle, including acquisitions, capitalisation, AUC/CWIP settlement, transfers, retirements, impairment and revaluation.
Configure and support depreciation runs, valuation rules, depreciation postings and fixed asset reconciliations.
Analyse and resolve EAM, maintenance order, asset master, depreciation and fixed asset accounting incidents.
Provide incident triage, root-cause analysis, configuration fixes, testing, documentation and knowledge transfer using JIRA.
Configure EAM structures, technical objects, asset classes, depreciation keys and settlement profiles.
Support integration between maintenance orders, WBS elements, internal orders, MM goods movements and FI-AA/FI-GL postings.
Identify process improvements, reduce manual workarounds and improve asset capitalisation, tracking and reporting.
Engage with Finance, Engineering/Operations, Asset Management and business stakeholders on requirements and solution delivery.
Prepare functional specifications, test cases, process documentation, issue summaries and change impact assessments.
Execute configuration changes, unit/integration testing, UAT, transports and post-implementation support.
Support workshops, user adoption, training and knowledge transfer.
Work within established SAP governance and transport procedures, escalating complex or high-risk configuration matters appropriately.
Utilise SAP Fiori, JIRA, Solution Manager and Confluence; exposure to SAP Joule or SAP Business AI is advantageous.


Qualifications & Experience


Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Financial Management, Engineering, Information Systems or IT.
3-6 years' experience in SAP EAM/PM, FI-AA or a related functional role.
Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA configuration and support experience.
Experience across FI-AA, EAM/PM, AUC/CWIP settlement, asset acquisition/retirement and depreciation processing.
Experience with fixed asset registers, technical objects, equipment master data, maintenance orders and month-end close.
Strong understanding of asset classes, valuation areas, depreciation keys, transfers, retirements and revaluations.
SAP EAM/PM, FI Asset Accounting or S/4HANA Finance certification is advantageous.
Experience working in a BAU/Run environment, preferably with JIRA and SAP Solution Manager.
MDG or Asset/EAM master data knowledge is mandatory.
