Job Description
Maintain accurate and timely financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly management reports, cash flow forecasts, and budget variance analyses.
Oversee and process monthly payroll, statutory deductions, pensions, and remittances.
Use Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF statements, nested formulas, dashboards) for data analysis and financial modeling.
Manage accounts receivable/payable, school fees, vendor payments, and petty cash.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax, and audit standards.
Collaborate with the Head of School and Admin team to support strategic planning and operational efficiency
Requirements
B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; ACA/ACCA is an added advantage.
Minimum 4 - 6 years of accounting experience, ideally in a school or service-oriented environment.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (tested at interview stage).
Sound knowledge of payroll systems and relevant Nigerian tax regulations (PAYE, Pensions, NHF).
Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
High standards of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
Familiarity with school accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or bespoke ERP systems) is a plus.
