The School Counsellor will be responsible for supporting learners' academic, social, emotional and behavioral development.
The role involves providing guidance, counseling, and referrals to ensure learners' well-being, enhance their learning experience, and promote a positive school environment.
Job Description
Identify learners' needs through observation, interviews, assessments, and referrals.
Collaborate with teachers and learners to monitor student progress and develop intervention strategies
Ensure compliance with child protection policies and counseling standards.
Develop and implement programs that promote mental health, positive behavior, and life skills.
Organize workshops, awareness activities, and guidance-related school programs.
Provide individual and group counselling to learners on academic, personal, and social challenges.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Counseling Psychology, Psychology, Education Guidance & Counseling, or related field.
Certification in counseling.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Strong knowledge of subject matter and curriculum standards.
