JOB PURPOSE

The Security Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and continuous improvement of all security and facility protection operations across RKJMS sites. The role ensures the safeguarding of company assets, employees, patients, visitors, and logistics operations through structured governance, risk management, outsourced security oversight, surveillance systems management, and emergency response coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Security Leadership & Governance
Provide strategic and operational leadership of all RKJMS security functions.
Develop, review, and implement organization-wide security policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.
Establish governance structures, reporting protocols, and accountability mechanisms.


Outsourced Security Management


Oversee selection, onboarding, and performance management of third-party security providers.
Manage contracts, SLAs, KPIs, and service standards.
Conduct periodic performance audits and corrective action programs.


Facility Security & Closure Management


Ensure all facilities, offices, wards, stores, and operational areas are secured daily.
Implement end-of-day lockup verification procedures.
Monitor access systems, perimeter fencing, gates, and alarm systems.


Surveillance & Control Room Operations


Oversee CCTV, access control, and monitoring systems across all sites.
Ensure real-time monitoring of facilities and fleet movement.
Maintain system uptime, integrity, and data retention compliance.


Risk Management & Loss Prevention


Conduct regular security risk assessments.
Develop and implement loss prevention and fraud mitigation strategies.
Lead investigations into theft, vandalism, breaches, and misconduct.


Logistics & Fleet Security


Oversee security surveillance for patients, staff, and delivery operations.
Implement secure transit and fleet monitoring procedures.
Analyze incident trends and recommend mitigation controls.


Incident & Crisis Management


Lead RKJMS emergency response coordination.
Manage response to security incidents and critical events.
Coordinate with police, fire services, medical response teams, and regulatory bodies.
Conduct post-incident investigations and corrective actions.


Training & Capacity Building


Design and deliver security awareness programs.
Train outsourced security teams and staff on SOPs and emergency protocols.
Conduct drills and simulation exercises.


Stakeholder Engagement


Serve as primary liaison with law enforcement and regulatory authorities.
Maintain working relationships with Police, DCI, County officials, and emergency agencies.
Provide advisory support to Senior Management on security matters.


Infrastructure & Systems Management


Oversee security infrastructure including CCTV, alarms, lighting, fencing, and access systems.
Coordinate maintenance, system upgrades, and preventive measures.
Ensure resilience against breaches and cyber-physical risks.


Reporting & Compliance


Prepare monthly and quarterly security reports.
Maintain incident logs and compliance documentation.
Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal governance standards


Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement


Develop annual and quarterly security strategies aligned to RKJMS objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and technology enhancements.
Benchmark against industry best practices.


Safety & Security Culture


Promote a culture of safety and security across the organization.
Lead awareness campaigns and accountability initiatives.
Embed security ownership across departments.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Professional Certification in:
Criminology
Security Management
Risk Management
Access Control / Surveillance Systems
Professional certifications (CPP, PSP, CISM, etc.) are an added advantage.


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


Minimum Five (5) years' experience in security management.
At least Three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Demonstrated experience in:
Managing outsourced security providers
CCTV and control room operations
Incident investigation and reporting
Security systems management
Experience with SCADA systems is an added advantage.
