Roles and Responsibilities:
Access Control & Security Operations
Control entry and exit of staff, visitors, contractors, and vehicles at the warehouse and residence.
Verify identification, delivery notes, and authorization documents before granting access.
Conduct routine patrols within the warehouse, parking areas, perimeter, and residence to ensure safety and security.
Monitor gates and ensure proper movement of goods, vehicles, and personnel.
Loss Prevention & Asset Protection
Prevent theft, pilferage, unauthorized removal of goods, and damage to company or residential property.
Monitor loading and offloading activities and report any suspicious activity or irregularities.
Safeguard company assets, warehouse stock, vehicles, and household property.
Report security breaches, losses, or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
Surveillance & Monitoring
Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment where assigned.
Maintain alertness and promptly escalate suspicious activities or emergencies.
Ensure security equipment issued is handled responsibly and kept in good condition.
Incident Response & Emergency Support
Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire outbreaks, medical incidents, accidents, or attempted theft.
Assist in evacuation procedures and emergency response when required.
Coordinate with supervisors, emergency responders, or police during incidents.
Reporting & Record Keeping
Maintain accurate Occurrence Book (OB) entries, visitor records, vehicle movement logs, and incident reports.
Record all shift activities, handovers, and observations clearly and professionally.
Report any security concerns, misconduct, or safety hazards to management.
Professional Conduct & Discipline
Maintain high standards of discipline, integrity, grooming, and professionalism at all times.
Adhere to company security procedures, assignment instructions, and client requirements.
Attend shift briefings and comply with instructions issued by supervisors.
Coordination & Support
Work closely with warehouse staff, transport teams, residence occupants, and supervisors to maintain security and order.
Support smooth daily operations through vigilance and timely communication.
Cooperate with law enforcement or emergency agencies when required.
Qualifications & Skills
At least 3 years in Security
KCSE Certificate
Basic security operations and observation skills.
Good communication and reporting ability.
Integrity, alertness, and professionalism.
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Ability to respond calmly during emergencies.
