Job Summary


We are seeking a vigilant, disciplined, and proactive Security Officer to support the protection of company personnel, facilities, assets, products, and other resources.
The successful candidate will monitor security activities, control access to company premises, identify and report security risks, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with established security procedures and standards.


Key Responsibilities


Monitor and safeguard company premises, facilities, equipment, products, and other assets.
Control and monitor the movement of employees, visitors, contractors, vehicles, and materials entering and leaving the premises.
Verify identification and authorization of personnel and visitors in accordance with company procedures.
Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas to identify suspicious activities, security breaches, safety concerns, or unauthorized access.
Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, access-control systems, and other security equipment where applicable.
Maintain accurate records of visitors, vehicle movements, incidents, access activities, and security observations.
Conduct regular checks of gates, fences, doors, warehouses, offices, production areas, and other restricted locations.
Prevent unauthorized removal or movement of company property and materials.
Report suspicious behaviour, theft, vandalism, trespassing, accidents, and other security incidents immediately.
Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.
Support emergency evacuation, fire response, and other emergency procedures in coordination with the HSE and Operations teams.
Liaise with approved security service providers and relevant authorities when required.
Ensure all security procedures and access-control protocols are consistently followed.
Assist in investigating security incidents and preparing incident reports.
Monitor loading and dispatch areas to help prevent unauthorized movement of products or materials.
Maintain professionalism and good conduct when interacting with employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public.
Ensure security posts and assigned areas are maintained in an orderly and professional manner.
Participate in security briefings, drills, training, and meetings.
Carry out other security-related duties assigned by the Security Manager or management.


Requirements & Qualifications


OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
2 - 5 years of relevant security experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, logistics, or corporate environment.
Previous experience in security operations or access control is highly desirable.
Knowledge of security procedures, surveillance, access control, incident reporting, and emergency response.
Experience working with CCTV and other security monitoring systems is an advantage.
Relevant security, HSE, first aid, or emergency response certifications will be an added advantage.
Good observation and situational awareness skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong integrity, discipline, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
Physically fit and able to conduct routine patrols and security checks.
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
Good report-writing and basic computer skills.
