KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise duties undertaken by the Assistant security Officers.
Operational Responsibilities
Implementing security services, practices and procedures within the Company premises.
Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment and access points
Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for reporting, and dealing with incidents when applicable
Ensuring that all the office windows are closed every day after the end of operations.
Securing all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
Liaising with law enforcement in the case of suspected or reported criminal activity
Leading in cases of loss of company property and ensuring the case is finalized.
Planning and coordinating the security operations.
Continuous monitoring of office property for security purposes.
Checking surveillance cameras (CCTV) periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful act.
Ensuring that all the reported cases on vandalism and stollen meter cases are acted upon
Examining the gate registers so as to monitor and control traffic movement.
Visiting satellite offices weekly for security checks and operations.
Investigating persons suspected for suspicious activities.
Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers within the company's premises
Maintaining database records both in soft and hard copies including those used to track safety and security data
Responding to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers
Representing the Company in court proceedings as expected
Ensuring that the outsourced security firms carry out their duties as expected by the Company.
Assisting in dealing with arising security matters including handling culprits.
Preparing varied reports as required.
Undertaking continuous professional development to keep up with trends within the industry.
Undertaking any other duties as may be assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Key Qualifications and Experience
Degree /Higher National Diploma in Criminology or its equivalent
At least 6 years relevant working experience in the Police/Military service
