We are seeking an experienced and vigilant Security Officer/Supervisor to oversee security operations, lead a team of security officers, and ensure the safety of personnel, property, and assets. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on security experience with strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Supervisory & Leadership Duties
Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the activities of security officers and service providers
Allocate duties, monitor performance, and implement corrective measures when standards are not met
Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and deliver on-the-job training
Prepare rosters, manage shift schedules, overtime, and leave in line with HR procedures
Security Operations
Oversee access control to prevent unauthorized entry into buildings and premises
Authorize movement of equipment, documents, and stores in/out of the facility
Patrol facilities (day and night) and visually monitor assigned areas for suspicious activities
Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and distress calls
Investigate incidents such as theft, vandalism, assault; prepare detailed reports and cooperate with law enforcement
Maintain incident books/registers and ensure proper documentation and chain of evidence
Administrative Tasks
Complete payroll forms, compute security operation costs, and manage supplies/equipment inventory
Participate in hiring and onboarding of security staff
Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Manager
Requirements
Education & Certification
Minimum of SSCE
At least 3 years of security experience, with 1 - 2 years in a supervisory role
Experience in corporate, industrial, or event security is highly desirable
Knowledge & Skills
Strong knowledge of:
Access control procedures
Security policies and procedures
Self-defense measures and first aid
Security hazards and safety protocols for buildings and premises
Ability to:
Lead and motivate a team
Analyze situations and solve problems effectively
Communicate clearly in English (written and verbal)
Work under pressure and in shifting schedules (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
Ability to observe activities day and night
Physical capability to subdue and restrain violators if necessary
