The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the company's premises, monitoring access, preventing unauthorized entry, and ensuring a safe working environment for staff, customers, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Control access to the company's premises and verify visitors before entry.
Monitor and patrol the facility regularly to detect and prevent security risks.
Protect company assets, machinery, vehicles, inventory, and property.
Record all visitors, deliveries, and vehicle movements accurately.
Conduct bag and vehicle checks in accordance with company policy.
Open and close the facility according to approved procedures.
Monitor CCTV systems and report any suspicious activities immediately (where applicable).
Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, fire incidents, or security breaches.
Prepare daily occurrence reports and incident reports.
Ensure gates, doors, and restricted areas remain secure.
Work closely with management to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Assist during emergency evacuations and other safety procedures.
Perform any other security-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE/WAEC qualification.
Previous experience as a security guard is an added advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physically fit and able to stand or patrol for extended periods.
Honest, disciplined, alert, and dependable.
Ability to read and write simple reports.
Must have a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
