About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, taxation, compliance, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting


Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable accounting standards.
Prepare management reports.
Support strategic financial planning.


Accounting Operations


Manage general ledger activities.
Perform account reconciliations.
Review journal entries.
Maintain accurate financial records.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.


Treasury Management


Monitor cash flow.
Prepare cash forecasts.
Manage banking relationships.
Support foreign exchange transactions.
Monitor liquidity positions.


Budgeting & Analysis


Prepare annual budgets.
Conduct variance analysis.
Monitor departmental expenditures.
Support financial forecasting.
Provide financial insights to management.


Tax & Regulatory Compliance


Prepare and file tax returns.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Coordinate regulatory submissions.
Liaise with tax authorities and auditors.


Internal Controls


Strengthen accounting controls.
Ensure adherence to financial policies.
Recommend process improvements.
Support audit activities.


Team Leadership


Supervise junior accounting staff.
Review work outputs.
Provide coaching and mentoring.
Drive continuous improvement within the finance team.


Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
ACA, ACCA or ICAN certification is mandatory.
Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
Experience within fintech, banking, treasury or financial services is highly desirable.
