Requirements:
National Diploma or BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, Local Government Finance or an equivalent qualification. A minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in municipal property rates, valuations, revenue management or financial reporting. Valid Code B Driver's License, Proficiency in MS Office applications. Duties:
Coordinating and managing the administration of property rates and the municipal valuation roll; ensuring accurate property rates billing, revenue reporting and reconciliations; coordinating the compilation, advertising and implementation of the valuation roll in accordance with legislative requirements; liaising with municipal valuers and other stakeholders on valuation matters; administering objections, appeals and other legal processes relating to the valuation roll; preparing statutory and management reports; ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and municipal policies; resolving property rates and valuation queries; supervising staff; and maintaining accurate financial records and reporting.
