Duties and Responsibilities
Assessing patient conditions and needs to determine the proper medication therapy to issue.
Determining proper dosages and frequencies according to patient data.
Explaining treatment regimens to patients and educating them on how to take them safely.
Evaluating patients and liaising with physicians to identify any unknown risk factors.
Documenting treatments and patient progress thoroughly.
Ensuring patients receive consistent, high-quality care.
Reviewing clinical trials and testing results to learn more about drug efficacy and side effects.
Implementing safety and compliance measures to store medications.
Dispensing medication according to treatment plans.
Interpreting pharmaceutical data and performing medical research.
Requirements for Appointment
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm) degree from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
Masters' degree in Clinical Pharmacy from an institution recognized by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
Certificate of Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.
Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Demonstrated professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results.
