The successful candidate will support clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters related to capital markets transactions, including IPOs, debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other related activities. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to operate in a high pressure, fast-paced work environment.

Roles & Responsibilities
As a member of the Capital Markets practice within CMAAS, you will assist clients with accounting and financial reporting requirements related to initial public offerings (IPOs), bond issuances, mergers and acquisitions, and other technical accounting issues and capital market transactions.
Prepare and review financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, tax, and valuation specialists to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
Support due diligence processes by analyzing financial data and identifying accounting risks and issues.
Provide technical accounting advice to clients and internal teams on complex transactions and interpretations of accounting standards.
Support with drafting and review offering memorandums, prospectuses, and other regulatory filings.
Participate in client meetings and presentations, contributing technical insights and solutions.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards, regulatory developments, and industry's best practices.
Our main areas of focus within the capital markets team include:
Capital markets such as IPOs, spins, debt raisings and capital structure advice;
Acquisitions, Alliances such as enter/exit JVs, strategic alliances, licenses, collaborations, etc;
Divestitures;
Restructurings and restatements;
GAAP conversions, changes in accounting standards
Position Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 3-5 years
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or other business field of study, including an acceptable NASBA foreign education equivalent.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and other relevant accounting frameworks.
Experience with IPOs, debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and related regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience preparing technical reports and client deliverables.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, and a high energy that will translate into high quality output;
Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Certification(s) Required: Passed or have commenced either ACA or AACA Exam or the equivalent accounting or finance certification exam in the selected individual's home country.
Knowledge Preferred:
Actively contribute both independently and collaboratively alongside senior Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS) practitioners and other professionals (e.g., bankers, lawyers, auditors, advisors) on complex financial reporting and regulatory matters related to capital market transactions and transformational events.
Demonstrate extensive knowledge and a proven track record of success advising multinational, publicly-traded companies and private equity firms across a broad spectrum of financial reporting and capital markets topics, including but not limited to:
Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), debt offerings, and private placements;
Carve-outs, spin-offs, and similar corporate restructuring activities;
Acquisitions, alliances, joint ventures, and post-deal integration matters.
Exhibit a deep understanding of the technical accounting and regulatory challenges inherent in transactions related to capital markets, with the ability to provide insightful, practical guidance.
Maintain a strong focus and enthusiasm for deal-related work, capital markets, and transaction-driven advisory, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment where responsiveness and accuracy are critical.
Stay current with evolving accounting standards, regulatory developments, and industry best practices impacting financial reporting for transactions and transformational events
