Requirements
A relevant National Diploma qualification as stipulated in the national building regulations;
Five (5) to Eight (8) years' experience as a Building Inspector;
Eligibility for registration as a Peace Officer (Law Enforcement Officer);
Knowledge of the National Building Regulations Act, Building Standards Act and all other applicable legislation;
Proficiency in the full MS Suite; and
A valid Code B Drivers' License
Key Performance Areas
Supervise the Building Inspectorate;
Undertake Inspectorate duties involved in the building development process;
Perform site/ counter duties;
Undertake site inspections to ensure compliance with relevant legislation;
Perform legal administrative functions; and
Manage staff administration
