A well-established and fast-growing fintech business is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their Product Portfolio team in Cape Town. This is a highly hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving complex business problems, and working closely with both technical teams and stakeholders to drive delivery.
You'll join a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your input will directly influence systems, processes, and customer-facing solutions across the business.
What you'll be doing:
Gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements across multiple projects
Working closely with developers, testers, product teams, and operational stakeholders
Running workshops, stakeholder sessions, and requirement gathering activities
Translating business needs into clear functional specifications and process flows
Supporting delivery teams throughout the SDLC
Investigating production issues and identifying opportunities for system enhancements
Performing data analysis and working with SQL queries where needed
Assisting testing teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements
Acting as the bridge between business and technical teams
What they're looking for:
5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in a formal environment
Experience within financial services, fintech, lending, collections, or payments
Exposure to contact centre environments and operational workflows
Strong experience with requirement gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Solid SQL skills for querying and analysing data
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business
Nice-to-have:
Debt collection or credit environment exposure
Relevant Business Analysis qualification or diploma
Experience working on operational or customer servicing platforms
