Here’s where you come in:
As Senior Business Development Manager, you will manage and grow a large multi-donor grant portfolio, ensuring timely and effective business development. You will oversee proposal design, development, reporting, donor compliance, and administrative functions within the Programs Development and Quality Department.
You will proactively identify funding opportunities, develop high-quality concept notes and proposals, and engage with donor representatives both in-country and externally. You will coordinate proposal development teams in partnership with the PDQ Director and work independently with minimal supervision, mentoring the Business Development Team and building their capacity.
You will ensure adherence to donor guidelines, collaborate closely with World Vision Support Offices and the MEER Regional Office, and bring expertise in grant acquisition and commercial contracts. You will design integrated proposals that reflect value for money, innovation, and alignment with WVA’s National Strategy and WVI’s child well-being objectives.
You will support project managers with grant performance communication, engage with Operations on the Grant Health Tracker (GHT), and integrate child well-being outcomes into grant designs. You will guide Program Officers and local partners in business development, ensuring compliance with donor and partnership requirements.
You will ensure that new grants are evidence-based, data-driven, and incorporate gender, protection, and environmental stewardship principles, contributing to climate change adaptation and the well-being of children in Afghanistan.
