Main Purpose of The Role:
Retain and grow existing Industrial vertical business in South Africa in coordination with the relevant branch resources. Responsible for some key vertical clients as the lead key account owner. Create, execute, and deliver on the sales strategy for the vertical within South Africa by identifying and sourcing profitable new business opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven track record in working towards and meeting sales growth targets.
Between 8-10 years' experience within the commercial space of logistics/supply chain industry.
Basic understanding of the shipping logistics processes within the Industrial vertical for import/exports
Ability to put together logistics solutions and manage implementation thereof, in a highly competitive and pressurized industry environment.
Proven track record in responding to high value tender's
Ability to deal with Global, regional and local key accounts
Able to demonstrate strategic capability to grow a vertical, nationally.
Qualifications:
Matric (essential)
Supply Chain / Logistics Degree advantageous
Computer packages
Word, Excel, Outlook
Advanced computer skills
MS Dynamics would be beneficial
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and deploy an Industrial Solutions strategy for DSV and ensure the strategy is properly communicated and rolled out across the country (Sales & Ops)
Align with DSV Global strategies and manage our participation in Global and Africa requirements.
Build out an integrated service offering including Business Processes, People, and IT to create breadth of services that allows DSV a greater share of the Customers pocket with multiple DSV Divisions e.g. DSV Road, Solutions
Create, maintain, and drive a sales pipeline of qualified prospective target Customers within defined Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and territory in order to achieve set growth targets.
Support the Sales Teams to secure new Customers that fit the Ideal Customer Profile.
Support CRM team with tactics to support PGI for this vertical.
Take accountability for coordinating the successful implementation of what was sold (SOP, SLA's, KPI's and RFQ's) including alignment between AS, Road and Solutions.
Act as an Executive Sponsor for certain Key Accounts
Inform the development of IT products, technologies, and appropriate platforms.
Develop and maintain strategic long-term relationships with the Customer to ensure ongoing satisfaction with the solutions provided.
Professionally compile and deliver proposal documents and presentation material that is current, accurate and in line with company standards to promote DSV brand.
Create, maintain, and execute on a business plan that meets objectives in order to achieve company profitable growth targets.
Build and establish a body of knowledge and ensure that the business is aware of the latest trends, innovation, and opportunities.
Competitor analysis and market data analysis to ensure continuous improvement and enhancement to the vertical value proposition.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and requirements on key trade lanes servicing the vertical
Ensure deadlines are met and able to positively influence internal stakeholders to achieve the result.
Mitigate risk by ensuring detailed implementation of projects and new business within the business.
Coordinating appropriate resources to deliver on retention and sales growth strategy for Industrial Vertical
Monthly reporting internally to all stakeholders
Creation and development of Industrial Vertical strategy, products and services
