MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12
National Diploma in Journalism/Public Relations/ Communications/Media Studies/Marketing or relevant fi eld.
Minimum three (3) years' relevant experience in communication environment Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Planning and organisational skills
Strong editing, proofreading and content development abilities Valid Code B Driving License
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Contribute to the development, implementation and mreview of communication strategies, policies and operational plans.
Develop, write, edit and proofread a variety of communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, reports and promotional content.
Manage, update and maintain the Municipality's website and official social media platforms to ensure timely and accurate communication.
Respond to media enquiries and facilitate media relations in consultation with the Supervisor.
Monitor media coverage, analyse communication performance and prepare reports with recommendations for improvement.
Assist in planning, organising, and coordinating corporate events, awareness campaigns, conferences, and community engagement programmes.
Ensure that all communication materials and activities comply with the Municipality's Corporate Identity and Branding Guidelines.
Maintain and update communication databases, media contact lists, photographic records, and digital content archives
