Responsibilities
Managing the organisation' s legal portfolio, instruments, and compliances.
Responsible for overseeing the formulation and consistent implementation oforganisationalpolicies, strategies, plans, and processes to align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Overseeing all communications, IT, branding, and public relations.
Coordinating of all functions within theorganisation, includingmaintaininga positiveorganisationalculture, staff recruitment, welfare, continuous training and development, performance appraisal, staff discipline, exit procedure, et cetera.
Representing the organisationon internal and external matters, including negotiations, seminars, public hearings, and other events.
Conduct regular compliance audits toidentifyand address potential issues.
Provide guidance on corporate governance matters.
Facilitate and support board meetings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Maintain corporate records and documentation.
Collaborate with legal counsel on various legal matters affecting the organization.
Review and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Identifypotential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensuretimelyandaccuratereporting.
Build andmaintainrelationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries
Oversee vendor relationships, and other corporate services.
Any other duties assigned.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division and call to the Nigerian Bar.
Minimum of 7 years post-call experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal frameworks.
Demonstrated leadership andorganisationalmanagement capability.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and relevant digital tools.
Strong writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
High levelof attention to detail and professional integrity.
Desirable Skills:
Strategic Communication & Planning
Experience working within NGOs, donor-funded projects, or highly regulated sectors.
Demonstrated experience supporting Boards and senior management on governance and strategic decision-making.
Exposure toprocurement processes, contract management, and vendor compliance oversight.
