Job Description
My client a leading payment aggregator and provider of secure payment solutions, is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join their growing team. This role focuses on enabling data-driven decision-making, improving data structures, and supporting business reporting across the organisation.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-directed individual with strong analytical ability, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
Analyse and maintain an understanding of the SQL Server data environment, including data structures and flows.
Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries.
Translate business reporting requirements into data solutions.
Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
Build and maintain Excel-based reports and dashboards.
Perform ad hoc analysis to support business decision-making.
Identify and recommend improvements to data structures and performance.
Support testing, validation, and data quality processes.
Assist business users with data and reporting queries.
All other tasks related to the role.
Minimum requirements:
Degree in a relevant quantitative field (Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Finance).
8-10 years' experience in a similar data analysis role.
Strong SQL skills.
Experience documenting data architectures, data models, or data dictionaries.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain
Excel-based reports and dashboards.
Strong communication skills in English with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
Own reliable transport.
Advantageous:
Experience with data modelling or database optimisation.
Exposure to Power BI or similar tools.
Python experience.
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery practices.
Experience in fintech, payments or financial services.
