Are you an experienced Senior Financial Manager with a passion for financial leadership, operational excellence, and driving strategic business decisions? A leading bank in Sandton is seeking a highly motivated finance professional to join their team on a 12-month contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic financial environment, partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver financial insights, strengthen governance, optimise asset-related financial performance, and support strategic decision-making across the business.


Key Responsibilities


Lead consolidated financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls across multiple business functions.
Oversee asset maintenance financial management to ensure critical banking assets remain available, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective throughout their lifecycle.
Maintain accurate asset registers, financial records, depreciation schedules, and control information to support governance and financial reporting.
Monitor financial performance against budgets and targets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to improve business performance.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, internal policies, procurement governance, and audit expectations.
Partner with Finance, Procurement, Technology, Facilities, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to support asset investment, replacement, maintenance, and disposal decisions.
Identify opportunities to optimise asset lifecycle costs, improve operational efficiencies, standardise processes, and reduce unnecessary expenditure.
Prepare and present insightful financial reports, dashboards, and management information relating to asset performance, expenditure, risks, service levels, and improvement initiatives.
Support business continuity by ensuring effective financial processes, systems, and controls are in place.
Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring service delivery against agreed service level agreements.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring delivery against business objectives.


Minimum Requirements


Relevant Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
CA(SA), CIMA, or other relevant professional finance qualification will be advantageous.
Extensive experience in senior financial management within the Banking or Financial Services industry.
Strong experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial controls.
Experience managing asset-related financial processes, governance, and lifecycle management will be advantageous.
Sound knowledge of IFRS, financial governance, regulatory compliance, and audit requirements.
Proven leadership experience managing high-performing finance teams.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems experience.
Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
