About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Executive, you will take ownership of the financial accounting function across the group and it's subsidiaries, ensuring everything runs smoothly, accurately, and in line with business and regulatory requirements.
This role offers strong visibility at senior level, with regular interaction with EXCO and key stakeholders.
What you'll be responsible for
Managing IFRS-compliant reporting (including IFRS 17)
Overseeing management accounts, tax, and financial reporting
Improving and streamlining processes and systems
Strengthening governance, controls, and financial policies
Leading, mentoring, and developing a finance team
Partnering with the business to provide financial insights and strategic input
Preparing reports and presentations for EXCO and board committees
What we are looking for
CA(SA) qualified
5 - 8 years' experience within financial services or insurance
At least 3 years' experience managing a team
Strong understanding of IFRS, tax, and financial controls
Exposure to IFRS 17 is a strong advantage
Confident communicator with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
