JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Human Resources Associate will play a strategic and operational role in managing core HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, HR compliance, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will proactively manage multiple HR initiatives, mentor junior HR staff, and contribute to a high-performance and inclusive organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Lead hiring strategies for technical and non-technical roles (e.g., engineers, product managers, data scientists).
Collaborate with leadership to forecast workforce needs aligned with business growth.
Strengthen employer branding to attract top talent in a competitive market.
Oversee structured, bias-free interview and selection processes.
Employee Experience & Engagement
Design programs that enhance employee experience across the organization.
Monitor engagement and retention, especially for high-demand tech talent.
Promote collaboration, innovation, and inclusion across teams.
Performance Management & Career Development
Implement performance frameworks such as OKRs and KPIs.
Support managers in continuous feedback and performance reviews.
Develop career progression paths and identify high-potential talent.
Employee Relations & Culture Management
Manage complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and innovation-driven organizational culture.
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on all HR matters.
HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure HR policies comply with labour laws and tech industry standards.
Oversee HRIS and payroll systems for accuracy and efficiency.
Streamline HR processes through automation and digital tools.
Compensation, Benefits & Retention
Benchmark salaries against tech industry standards.
Design competitive compensation packages, including bonuses and applicable stock options.
Manage employee benefits that support engagement, wellness, and retention.. Change Management & Organizational Development
Support scaling initiatives and organizational restructuring.
Drive change management initiatives during business transformation or product pivots.
Leadership & Team Support
Coach managers on leadership, team management, and communication.
Mentor junior HR staff and ensure efficient HR operations.
Act as a bridge between leadership and employees.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
6 - 8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in technology, startups, or fast-growing companies.
Strong understanding of HR best practices, labour laws, and employee lifecycle management.
Proficiency in HR software/HRIS, payroll systems, and HR analytics tools.
Knowledge of tech industry recruitment trends and compensation benchmarking.
Professional HR certifications such as CIPM, SHRM-SCP, HRCI, or equivalent is an advantage.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Proactive, independent, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience mentoring HR staff and leading cross-functional HR initiatives.
Familiarity with employee engagement, learning & development programs, and HR-driven strategic initiatives.
