Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex contentious and non-contentious matters across Dispute Resolution, Employment & Labour Law and other commercial and advisory areas.
Provide high-quality, practical and commercially sound legal advice and representation while maintaining excellent standards of drafting and advocacy.
Manage significant client relationships, ensuring matters are handled efficiently, responsively and to a high standard of client care.
Lead, supervise, mentor and develop lawyers and other team members through effective delegation, coaching and review of work.
Oversee assigned matters, including deadlines, workflow, risk management, billing, fee collection and overall financial performance.
Contribute to business development, client retention and practice growth, while working collaboratively with Partners and the wider team.
Key Qualifications
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in good standing, with at least 8 years' post-qualification experience preferably within a reputable mid-tier or top-tier law firm.
Strong experience in either Employment & Labour Law or Dispute Resolution, particularly civil and commercial disputes, together with substantial advisory experience.
Demonstrated ability to independently handle complex legal matters and consistently deliver high-quality technical work.
Excellent advocacy, legal drafting, analytical, research and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
Proven experience managing significant client relationships and leading, supervising and mentoring legal professionals.
Strong commercial judgement and experience in billing, fee collection, financial management and business development, with high standards of professional integrity and accountability
