Duties & Responsibilities

What you'll do:

As a Senior Manager Internal Audit, your primary focus will be on Internal Audit quality assurance activities. You will not have any responsibility in the planning, execution, and reporting on regular internal audit projects or special reviews. Your role will involve developing a comprehensive QA plan, executing this plan to ensure there is an adequate level of conformance with the IIA's GIAS, identifying improvement initiatives for Internal Audit processes, delivering timely reports of QA activities to management, conducting follow-up reviews to validate agreed MAPs, and maintaining quality work paper documentation.

  • Developing and implementing a QA plan, including QA risk assessment, multiyear coverage strategy and managing the related resource and delivery requirements.
  • Executing QA plans to provide assurance and challenge the quality and comprehensiveness of the planning and delivery of IA function's work scope.
  • Identifying Internal Audit processes and practices improvement initiatives.
  • Delivering timely reports of QA activities to management with appropriate context and insights.
  • Conducting follow up reviews to validate the implementation of agreed MAPs.
  • Maintaining quality work paper documentation that clearly indicates work done and adequately supports review findings and conclusions.

What you bring:

As a Senior Manager Internal Audit, you bring a wealth of experience in construction/project management as well as auditing. You have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering or architectural design along with professional qualifications in construction or civil engineering. Your strong analytical skills are complemented by your excellent verbal and written communication abilities. You have demonstrated experience managing complex multi-year construction projects across various jurisdictions. Your ability to conduct audits in an automated environment sets you apart.

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, architectural and structural design, building science, quantity surveying, or other construction-related fields from a recognized University.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in construction, building or civil engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction/project management; building design and construction/project supervision.
  • Experience in auditing, quality control, supervising, and managing several complex multi-year construction projects across various jurisdictions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English combined with ability to build compelling business cases.
  • Strong analytical skills, including conducting audits in an automated environment.
