We invite you to join us on a technical support contract. The position is based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Planning Manager to join our project team in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will lead all planning and scheduling activities for a major Oil & Gas project, ensuring timely execution, strategic planning oversight, and effective coordination with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
This position is critical to the success of our operations and requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.


Responsibilities
The position we are offering involves the following main responsibilities:


Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule for all project phases (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning)
Lead schedule baselining and ensure adherence to planning procedures and change‑control processes
Monitor project progress, analyze deviations, and implement mitigation or recovery plans
Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports, KPIs, dashboards, and critical path updates
Conduct schedule risk analysis and provide data‑driven recommendations to project leadership
Coordinate planning activities with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Lead planning review meetings and contribute to decision‑making at the project leadership level
Ensure documentation accuracy for audits, claims, and contractual reporting.


Required Profile


You have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with at least 6 year experience in a Senior Planning/Project Controls role on large-scale Oil & Gas or EPC projects.
You are recognised for your excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
You have a strong command of Primavera P6 and MS Project, with a solid understanding of EPC workflows, procurement cycles, and construction sequencing.
Professional certifications (PMP, PMI-SP, AACE) are a strong asset.
Experience working in Africa or remote environments is an advantage.
