Job Summary
African Industries Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Production Geologist to join our mining operations team at Gujeni Mine, Kaduna.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and optimize the production geology value-chain
Execute production planning, geological mapping, sampling, and grade control activities
Update geological sections and 3D geological models
Monitor crusher feed quality and ore blending
Coordinate drilling, QA/QC compliance, and reconciliation programs
Collaborate with mine planners, drill-and-blast teams, and processing teams
Train and mentor junior geology staff
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
Requirements
B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology or related Geoscience field
Minimum of 10 years' experience in production geology, preferably within iron ore operations
Strong experience in geological modelling, orebody evaluation, mine-to-mill reconciliation, and QA/QC processes
Proficiency in mining software such as Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog, etc.
Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work remotely and travel when required.
