Position Description


Review, evaluate, and interpret reservoir engineering data to define the configuration of oil and gas fields, thus contributing to the effective management of the company's hydrocarbon reserves and production.


Major Areas of Responsibility


Leadership skills and competencies, including Building Shared Vision, ability to Motivate, Coach, and Develop others, be a safety ambassador.
Data Acquisition, analysis & Data Management: Candidate must have skills to contribute to and supervise the planning, design, execution, analysis, and reporting of Fluid Sampling, Well Tests, Pressure, Survey, and SCAL Data, and gathering and analysis of other Basic Data petroleum engineering data. Candidates must have experience with key industry tools for data analysis, like KAPPA, PVTP, etc.
Perform reservoir modelling and analysis, using Analytic Techniques and Reservoir Simulation Model. Must have mastery of History Matching Reservoir Models and performing Prediction Runs to generate forecasts for business uses. Candidates must have experience with key industry tools for modeling, including Petex, Eclipse, CMG, Petrel RE, etc.
Hydrocarbon Resource Management (HCM): An ideal candidate must have technical mastery of and be able to lead a team of young engineers in an integrated way to Predict Reservoir Performance, carry out Reserves Estimation, and Reserves Booking and Reporting for both internal and external uses.
Well, Reservoir and Field Surveillance & Management: She/He must be skilled in Constructing a Reservoir Surveillance Plan, Monitoring, and Managing Reservoir performance towards optimizing production, while not compromising the long-term recovery of the reservoir and field.
Development & (Re)development Planning: an ideal candidate must have experience in identifying and managing Key surface uncertainties and evaluating Different Recovery Processes and drainage options. He/She should be skilled in Developing & Evaluating Development Concepts & Options, Performing Integrated Production System Modelling & Proposing Field (Re) Development Plans.
Portfolio management: He/She would act as custodian of subsurface assets in his/her portfolio, leading portfolio review, risk and opportunities generation, and proposing opportunities to fill growth and maturation funnels.
Integrated Petroleum Engineering work: He/she must have integrated expertise in areas of Performing basic Open Hole Data Evaluation, Petrophysical Well & Reservoir Surveillance, and Well Modelling & Performance. etc.,
Economic and commercial mindset: An ideal candidate should be capable of performing Economic and Investment Evaluation, evaluating exploration prospects, and appraisal and analyzing the economic impact of uncertainty and risk.
An ideal candidate should be adept at teamwork and integration skills to deliver joint projects and deliverables. He/she must be organized and accountable to deliver his/her assigned tasks, and also motivate and support the delivery of other members of the team.
Project Delivery - The candidate must be able to manage Strategic and Front-end Processes: Evaluate and Frame Opportunities, Identify and Manage Project Risks, and Develop Lessons Learned engagements for continuous improvement.
Coaching, mentoring, and Knowledge Sharing: An ideal candidate would be required to support the technical and career development of younger engineers to achieve their full potential.

Minimum Requirements


Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)/ Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.)/Bachelor of Technology in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Petroleum Engineering disciplines or the Physical Sciences. An MSc will be an advantage.
Quality leadership and communication skills.
Experience in technical report writing.
Experience in documentation.


Additional Desirable Qualifications


Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Engineering (M. Eng) in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Petroleum Engineering disciplines Sciences
