OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
Provide GeoMetallurgical technical services, supportive governance for Geometallurgy and Mineralogy for the purposes of business planning, optimisation and troubleshooting.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical Accountabilities
Modelling behaviour that is consistent with the AGA Safety Vision and Values, assisting in driving a culture where Safety is our first value, and providing support for incident/accident investigations where required.
Provide technical services in support of the Principal GeoMetallurgy, specifically in the area of GeoMetallurgy, Mineralogy and Business Planning. This includes:
Provide expert advice and input to the Business Units and other functions.
Provide expert input into FAP opportunity development and execution.
Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, OEM's, research institutions, etc.
Contributing productively as a member of the CTO Technical team.
People Accountabilities
Ensure all internal and external people are treated in accordance with AGA's company values.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
A degree qualification in Geology, GeoMetallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a relevant related discipline
Experience
At least 8 years relevant experience in the mining industry
Ability to take a 3 year business perspective in managing multiple competing priorities and reconciling these with the Company's strategic priorities
Strong background in production and management - desirable
Strong track record in business improvement and change management - desirable
Knowledge & Skills

Sound practical understanding of the entire mining value chain including geology, mining, geotechnical, metallurgy, engineering, tailings and projects
Well-developed industry networks
