Senior Support Staff – Mechanical Technician at Pwani Oil

Key Responsibilities:


Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical equipment.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimize downtime.
Install, commission, and calibrate new machinery and mechanical systems.
Replace and maintain mechanical components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and industry standards.
Monitor equipment performance and optimize machine efficiency.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, schedules, and spare parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.


Required Knowledge & Experience


Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in pumps, including operations, troubleshooting, maintenance selection.
Test and calibrate mechanical systems to meet operational specifications.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support reliable plant operations.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.
Support planned shutdowns, overhauls, and project installations.

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Proven experience as a mechanical technician in a manufacturing industry
