Shamiri Fellows are recent high-school graduates trained to deliver the 4-week Shamiri intervention without prior formal health training as part of the Shamiri Program. Fellows receive ten hours of training and weekly supervision from Shamiri Clinical Supervisors. They lead group-based intervention sessions with high school students within the schools

Roles and Responsibilities


Delivering intervention activities by facilitating group sessions. 
Referring students in need of psychosocial support to Shamiri Supervisors.
Observing punctuality on all matters that concern the Shamiri program. 
Attending supervision meetings as communicated. 
Recording group sessions of attendance. 
Reporting to the supervisors any information necessary promptly.  
Acting, with supervision, to help ensure participant confidentiality, health, and safety. 
Supporting data collection during group sessions to help ensure accurate participant information.


Requirements


Must have attained at least a Grade C- in KCSE, or an equivalent qualification in GCSE, AS-level, etc.
Must be between 18 and 24 years of age at the time of application.
Familiarity with Google Workspace tools (e.g., Google Docs, Forms, Calendar) or other basic digital tools.
Own or have access to a phone that can access the internet.
Experience facilitating or supporting group activities, especially with adolescents or in school settings, is a plus.
Willingness to learn from mistakes and use feedback for personal and professional growth.
A genuine interest in helping others, particularly adolescents, with a strong commitment to confidentiality, fairness, and emotional safety.
Alignment with the mission and values of Shamiri Institute.
Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail in facilitation and reporting tasks.
Basic knowledge or interest in mental health, wellness, or life skills education
