Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Shelter Program Campaign Officer located in Ikotun Male Shelter Branch in Lagos.
The Shelter Program Campaign Officer will be responsible for overseeing humanitarian or advocacy campaigns and social media representation focused on housing, sustainable shelter solutions, empowerment opportunity sourcing and placement and non-food items (NFIs) for all resident hope-mates.
The Shelter Program Campaign Officer will coordinate public outreach, stakeholder engagement, and field project communication to support shelter initiatives.
Tasks include social media content management, program advocacy, grant procurement, overseeing hope-mates' transition, coordinating and tracking formal/informal trainings and community service program progress, building and solidifying partnerships, and conducting research to improve the Communal Shelter Programs.
The Shelter Program Campaign Officer will also handle communication with external partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong Communication, Training and Mentoring skills
Experience in Content Creation and Social Media Management
Experience in Grant Application, Partnership Procurement and Solidification
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or related field
Previous experience in shelter/hostel management.
Experience working with the vulnerable, marginalised population and NGOs is an advantage
