Responsibilities
He shall be responsible for the safe, efficient and continuous operation of all generators during the shift period.
He should perform daily inspection, routine checks(oil, fuel, coolant, battery) and minor repairs on the generators during shift periods.
He should maintain accurate timely records of running hours, maintenance activities and fuel consumption of all generators
He should start,stop and operate generators and auxiliary equipment according to operating procedures.
He should monitor control panels, gauges and load distribution of generators during shift operation periods.
Shift Generator Operator should monitor and track fuel levels, manage storage tanks and oversee fuel deliveries during shift period.
He should adhere strictly to safety protocols including environmental rules and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards in order to maintain a clean and safe workplace.
He should identify and resolve operational issues, escalating major faults to supervisors or Maintenance team.
He should ensure proper, documented and smooth hand-over of responsibilities to the next shift.
The Shift Generator Operator shall carry out any other task as may be assigned by his Line Manager.
