Shift Maintenance Engineer-4000TCD Mill Operation at Dangote

Job Summary

The Shift Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for leading the maintenance team on shift, ensuring efficient and safe operation of the mill equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities


Oversee maintenance activities during assigned shifts to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with operations teams to ensure timely response to breakdowns.
Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities.
Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on milling, cane preparation, and auxiliary equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues during operations.
Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and calibration of critical machinery.
Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs.
Promote safe work practices among technicians and artisans.



Supervise and guide local technicians and artisans during shifts.
Work closely with engineers from mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation departments.


Educational Qualification and Work Experience


Shall hold the minimum of B-Tech/BE/BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
COREN, NSE or Any related professional qualification.
Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience.
