Job Summary


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Manager / Material Supervisor with a Quantity Surveying background to oversee site operations, material management, cost control, and project coordination across construction projects.
The ideal candidate will ensure efficient site execution, proper material accountability, adherence to project timelines, and compliance with quality and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities
Site Operations & Supervision:


Supervise daily site activities to ensure projects are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Coordinate artisans, subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers for efficient project delivery.
Monitor work progress and provide regular site reports to management.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
Identify and resolve operational or technical issues affecting project execution.


Material Management & Control:


Monitor material usage, storage, and distribution on site to minimise wastage and theft.
Maintain accurate inventory and material reconciliation records.
Verify materials delivered to site against purchase orders and specifications.
Coordinate timely requisition and supply of construction materials to avoid project delays.
Ensure proper documentation of material inflow, usage, and balance.


Cost Control & Quantity Surveying Support:


Conduct quantity take-offs and assist in project cost monitoring.
Track project expenditures and support budget control initiatives.
Assist in valuation of completed work and preparation of project reports.
Support procurement processes by verifying quantities and material requirements.
Ensure optimal utilisation of resources to maintain project profitability.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)


Timely completion of assigned project milestones.
Reduction in material wastage and site losses.
Accuracy of inventory and material reconciliation reports.
Compliance with project budgets and approved material specifications.
Quality compliance with minimal rework or defects.
Timely submission of site progress and material reports.
Adherence to safety and operational standards on site.

Qualifications & Experience


Bachelor's Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline.
3 - 5 years' relevant experience in construction project supervision and material management.
Strong understanding of construction site operations and quantity surveying principles.
Experience in real estate development or building construction projects is an added advantage.
Membership of relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
