Job Summary


We are looking for a passionate and purpose-driven Social Media Officer to help tell our story, promote clean energy solutions, and grow our digital presence.
As part of a forward-thinking solar renewable energy company, you will play a key role in educating, engaging, and inspiring our audience through compelling social media content and campaigns.


Key Responsibilities


Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with the company's mission and brand voice.
Plan, create, and schedule content across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, and TikTok, with a focus on clean energy education, Product/Brand visibility, project highlights, and community impact.
Work closely with the technical and sales teams to translate complex solar solutions into simple, engaging posts for diverse audiences.
Collaborate with marketing, design, and communications teams to ensure brand consistency.
Monitor conversations, respond to inquiries, and actively engage with followers to build a strong online community.
Monitor competitors and industry trends for opportunities and threats.
Track performance metrics and generate reports to evaluate ROI and optimize future campaigns.
Stay informed about trends in renewable energy, sustainability, and digital marketing.
Support content creation for campaigns, partnerships, and events, including visual assets and short videos.
Support crisis communication and reputation management on digital channels when needed.
Assist with managing paid ads and boosting key content as needed.
Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications


Requirements


Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
3+ years of experience managing professional social media accounts.
Strong storytelling and copywriting skills, especially around sustainability and innovation.
Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media management platforms (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite).
Familiarity with solar energy or renewable energy concepts is a strong advantage.
Creative thinker with an eye for visual content and trends.
Data-driven with the ability to interpret analytics and adjust strategies.
General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content
Relevant experience in determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention
Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach
Understanding of graphic design principles
Any professional certifications would be an added advantage


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience working in a mission-driven or sustainability-focused organization.
Basic video editing skills.
Understanding of environmental issues and climate change communication.
