The Role
Itel Energy is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot solar power systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise in solar PV systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including panels, inverters, batteries, and associated electrical components.
Conduct site assessments and system sizing based on customer energy requirements.
Perform system wiring, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Carry out routine maintenance and inspections to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
Diagnose and resolve technical faults in solar installations.
Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and electrical regulations.
Maintain accurate service records, installation reports, and technical documentation.
Provide technical support and guidance to customers on system usage and maintenance.
Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
3 - 5 years' experience in solar installation and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, charge controllers, and battery storage systems.
Good understanding of electrical wiring and safety standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system designs.
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
Technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field (preferred).
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work on-site and at heights when required.
