Job Description
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations as requested by authorized clinicians.
Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the examination process.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment in accordance with established standards.
Produce high-quality diagnostic images and preliminary reports where applicable.
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality during examinations.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports.
Observe radiation safety and infection prevention protocols where applicable.
Participate in quality assurance programs within the imaging department.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
Diploma in medical imaging sciences (sonographer option) from a recognized institution.
Registration with the kenya society of radiographers and/or the relevant regulatory body.
Valid practicing license
Certificate in computer applications.
Demonstrated professional competence and good communication skills.
