Responsibilties


Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce clear and informative diagnostic images.
Review images to ensure quality and identify any abnormalities that may require further investigation.
Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by explaining procedures, positioning them comfortably, and applying ultrasound gel.
Maintain detailed patient records, documenting examination findings and technical parameters.
Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, providing preliminary exam results and observations.
Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
Stay up to date on the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and procedures.
May perform additional duties as assigned, which could include assisting with research projects or training new staff.


Job Requirements


First Degree in Radiography
PGD in ultrasound
2 - 4 years of previous experience as a Sonographer
A license to practice.
Observes confidentiality both with patient information and co-workers.
Ability to connect with several types of patients.
Attention to detail and skill in proper patient identification.
