Acted has been present in South Sudan since 2007 and is currently operating in Western Bahr el Ghazal, Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Upper Nile, and Western, Central and Eastern Equatoria States. Working along the Humanitarian-Development-Peace nexus, Acted’s strategy focuses on both integrated camp management, border monitoring, WASH and protection activities to support the Sudan emergency response, as well as long-term climate resilience, livelihoods and infrastructure support in line with Acted’s flagship THRIVE initiative.

Acknowledging the importance of engaging in early recovery to transition towards sustainable solutions, Acted reinforces communities’ resilience, livelihoods, and food security through the promotion of climate-smart farming practices, natural resource management, community savings groups and Farmer Field Schools.
