Specialist: GHG Monitoring Air Dispersion Modeller - HESD19033 at City of Ekurhuleni

Minimum Requirements:


Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric or Mathematics or Chemistry
3 - 5 years' experience in a meteorologist conducting air quality research and forecasting and running meteorological models to test, review and evaluate the effectiveness of air quality control strategies
Registration with the relevant Professional body.


Core Responsibilities:


Manage the development, implementation, monitoring and review of mathematical simulation of how air pollutants disperse in the ambient atmosphere in EMM.
Foster integration of air quality management through EMM.
ensure compliance with all applicable council regulations and management of risks as pertaining to air quality management through EMM
Ensure compliance with all applicable MFMA and other applicable legislation and regulation in EMM.
Provide effective and efficient customer service
Ensure efficient and effective contract management in the area of responsibility
