Purpose of the job
To support, install, maintain, software products in various environments to ensure continuous service to clients.
Key Responsibility Areas
To plan and implement for infrastructure Preparation to ensure functional mainframe server
To manage and administer operating systems, software and 3rd party software to ensure functional operating system
To provide user support to clients to ensure customer satisfaction
To provide input into the units monthly and quartely reports regarding mainframe usage.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum: 3 year Diploma / Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent/ NQF level 6.
Experience : 3 -5 years working experience in System Programming (Mainframe systems).
Technical Competencies Description
Knowledge of:
Z/OS, Z/LINUX, Z/VM and other software tools i.e. BMC, CA etc. IT hardware and software. The incumbent is required to consult and interact with clients and work on standby.
Skills: Hosting Management.
