Role Summary


Lead ATRaS public relations, media engagement and strategic communications across Adamawa State.
The role will manage the public image and communications of ATRaS, coordinate media relationships, oversee public announcements and press communications, support digital and social-media communication, and document major programmes, deployments, community engagements and impact activities.
The role will also work closely with the Government & Stakeholder Relations Manager and other state-level teams to ensure consistent, accurate and professional communication.


Requirements


Bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Media Studies or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in public relations, corporate communications, media, journalism, strategic communications, brand management or a similar role.
Demonstrated experience managing media relationships and corporate/public communications.
Strong writing, editing, public-speaking, storytelling and crisis-communication skills.
Experience developing press releases, media materials, digital content and public communication strategies.
Strong understanding of social media, digital communications and modern media platforms.
Ability to represent the organisation professionally before the media, government, partners, communities and other stakeholders.
Professional certification or membership of a recognised communications, public relations or media body is an advantage.
A Master's Degree in any relevant fields is an added advantage.

Part-time or contract-based engagement may be considered on a case-by-case basis where the role, operational need, and candidate profile justify such an arrangement.
Successful candidates may be required to work across assigned operational locations within Adamawa State and to participate in field activities where applicable.
