Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Store Keeper will be responsible for inventory management, stock control, materials issuance, warehouse safety, procurement coordination, staff supervision, compliance, and audit support.
The successful candidate will ensure accurate stock records, optimal stock levels, timely reporting, reduced losses, and efficient issuance of materials in line with company procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against approved purchase orders and delivery notes. Confirm quantities, quality, and specifications before acceptance.
Storage & Stock Arrangement
Ensure proper storage, binning, labelling, and arrangement of stock for easy identification, retrieval, and control.
Stock Control & Record Keeping
Maintain accurate stock records in the inventory system and physical documents such as bin cards and stock cards. Ensure all receipts, issues, returns, and transfers are posted on time.
Stock Counts & Reconciliation
Conduct regular stock counts, including daily spot checks and weekly or monthly physical counts. Reconcile system stock with physical stock and report variances.
Issuance of Materials
Issue materials strictly against approved and authorised requisitions, ensuring correct quantity, quality, and specifications are issued.
Warehouse & Safety Management
Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety within the store or warehouse. Enforce proper stacking, handling, storage practices, and safety standards.
Procurement Coordination
Liaise with procurement, production, and finance teams to confirm stock requirements, raise reorder requests, and follow up on pending deliveries, backorders, and supplier lead times.
Staff Supervision
Supervise store assistants and casual staff, allocate duties, ensure accountability, and train staff on inventory handling, documentation, stock control, and safety practices.
Compliance & Audit Support
Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control standards, and audit requirements. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and reports.

GRN summaries.
Materials issued reports.
Variance, damage, expiry, and stock loss reports.
Reorder level alerts.
Monthly stock summaries.
Stock reconciliation reports.
Slow-moving and obsolete stock reports.
Supplier delivery performance reports.
Consumption analysis and reorder forecasting.
Education & Experience
Degree or Diploma in Business, Logistics, or a related field will be an added advantage.
At least 5 years' experience in store or inventory management within a trading company, FMCG, retail, logistics, or distribution environment.
Hands-on experience in receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of goods.
Experience in reporting, consumption analysis, and reorder forecasting.
