Key Responsibilities


This role reports directly to the Co-CEO Programs. As Strategy Lead, you will be instrumental in supporting the Co-CEO, the Senior Management Team and the broader FAH team across a variety of critical functions:


Strategy and Thought Partnership


Act as a trusted strategic partner to the co-CEO, delivering insightful analyses and actionable recommendations on FAH's highest priorities.
Work with Country Clusters to develop robust country-specific strategies, which consider potential for impact, government priorities and fit to FAH capabilities
Facilitate a comprehensive strategic review process for FAH, assessing our current position and future opportunities for impact in the evolving global health architecture landscape.
Engage internal and external stakeholders in a participatory process to refine our strategic pathways and articulate clear assumptions for impact.
Conduct analyses of the "new global health funding order" to identify implications for FAH's strategy, particularly for sustainable financing of community health worker programs and primary health care.
Translate strategic insights from the review into actionable plans and recommendations for the co-CEO and senior leadership team.
Plan and execute strategic initiatives that support FAH's mission of strengthening financing for primary and community health system. Help drive high-impact cross-cutting projects forward.
Provide input into our programmatic Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) framework to strengthen our impact


Analytical Leadership


Develop robust Excel models which allow us to calculate our impact and show the return on investment of investment in Financing Alliance for Health. This should include modelling different scenarios which can then guide us to make the best program design choices.
Develop robust Excel models and investment documents which clearly articulate innovative financing opportunities to Ministries of Health and Finance as well as impact investors - supporting countries to invest more in community and primary care to save on curative costs and save lives.
Identify where and how we can leverage Artificial Intelligence tools to further strengthen our programmes; and help coach Financing Alliance for Health teams to do so adequately
Support the Country Cluster teams to and develop government-facing concept notes and plans, such as Ministry of Finance engagement strategies, human resource for health plans, performance management dashboards and innovative financing mechanisms.
Support Country Cluster teams to develop compelling donor-facing materials, including proposals and pitch decks, showcasing FAH's vision and measurable impact.
Support the codification of FAH's country engagement work and impact, contributing to thought leadership pieces and publicly shareable materials.
Participate in Financing Alliance for Health's regular "lunch & learn" program by coaching others on key consultant skillset (e.g. analytical skills, AI, story lining, etc.)

Requirements:


Bachelor's degree from a top tier university with excellent academic record
At least 3 years of working experience within a strategy consulting firm. The number of additional years of experience could influence the seniority at which this position is hired for.
Passion for the mission, and excitement for this role. A strong work ethic is essential.
Strong interest in learning about health financing and public financial management to strengthen primary and community health
Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel up to 20% of your time, including to our Africa focus countries and beyond.
