Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the project manager to plan and deliver the research work.
Prepare study materials including training materials and standard operating procedures.
Prepare work plans aligned to project deliverables.
Co-ordinate and oversee data collection and management including data quality checks, storage and archiving.
Supervise research assistants attached to the Project.
Co-ordinate adherence to funder's technical and financial requirements.
Ensure compliance with policies on ethical conduct of research and human subjects protections.
Co-ordinate shipping of samples locally and internationally.
Carry out any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Vacancy Requirements:
Master's degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry or any other Biomedical Sciences degree from a recognized institution. Mandatory
Master's degree in vaccine related course will be an added advantage. Mandatory
Well versed with protocol development and approval processes. Mandatory
Experience working in an immunology laboratory. Mandatory
Experience in working in a research organization. Mandatory
Certificate in "Good Clinical Practice" and/or "Human Subjects Protection" and "Good Clinical and Laboratory Practice" Mandatory
Proficiency in computer application skills and statistical packages Mandatory
Experience working with HIV research, neglected tropical disease (NTD) research will be an added advantage Added Advantage
Fluency in English, Kiswahili, required. Mandatory
Experience in Quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection. Mandatory
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desirable
